A Moment of Stillness in a Moving World
A Personal Check-in From Where Life Has Me Parked
Sitting here, sipping coffee, watching cars zoom by on the freeway.
Everyone’s headed somewhere, yet somehow, we are all connected — part of the same motion.
Right now, I am in the pause. Parked. Reflecting.
This is a personal check-in from where life has me — still, but not stagnant. Present. And ready to share.
I often find myself retreating to this parking lot because it’s away from other cars — a place where I can just exist. I do not have to think about what others might be perceiving of me.
Plot twist: most people are mainly thinking about themselves — I know I am, even if it’s often in relation to others.
Do you ever find yourself retreating to a specific place?
What emotions or thoughts come up for you there?
Let this reflection guide you to your own — and remind you that you are not alone.
Solitude is, interestingly, where we may feel the most connected — to everyone, and especially to ourselves.
