I used an Artificial Intelligence (AI) program to generate digital art from words that I wrote as a text prompt. It didn’t look realistic — My vision was not executed. Therefore, I made the text prompt less detailed with each attempt. The last image was unfinished.
My last text prompt was:
Future of writing.
The unfinished image that was generated because of this text prompt inspired a short story:
Since 2023, writing has drastically changed. Everyone is a writer. We no longer require phones or computers to write. WiFi is UNIVERSAL. We use a high-tech pen that’s computerized. There’s a microphone embedded inside. We speak into it and hold the pen to paper as if we’re preparing to write. There’s no need for traditional grammar. We write how we speak and speak how we write. People are more direct in communication. By default, the pen stores our words, so we can upload them to the internet. We seem to be doing great, but something feels off.
Have we transformed the human experience with AI, or become tolerant of it? You be the one to decide.
