AI’s Latest Breakthrough
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a topic I like to explore on Medium.
AI is not a new concept, but it has advanced. Therefore, there is concern over who should use it and to what extent based on the stories recommended to me by the algorithm on Medium, as well as the comments on my own and others’ stories about AI.
Although, Medium is home to human writing, it recognizes that AI technology can assist writing in many ways.
We define AI-generated writing as writing where the majority of the content has been created by an AI-writing program with little or no edits, improvements, fact-checking, or changes. This does not include AI writing tools such as AI outlining, or AI assisted fact, spelling, or grammar checkers.
Despite differing opinions, it’s clear that AI has a place on Medium.
AI writing is allowed on Medium. However, fully generated AI writing will not receive enhanced distribution, such as our new program “Boost.”
While AI can be a valuable tool in writing stories, it’s important to use it with discretion and credit it when appropriate, just as we would any other source.
