Dear Publications:

Thank you for taking a chance on me and my writing.

I write about many topics and interests. Therefore, publications give me the freedom to exist in all of my writing glory on my page while appealing to many niche-based audiences.

I am excited to write for many publications to make my experiences close-knit on this large platform.

This is an open letter to publications that are vague in their language on their About pages.

There are a few publications that are vague in their language on their About pages, yet a great number of writers that I support write for them:

I’m keen on the topics that they write about.

Publications: please be clear and concise on your About pages. Ensure that editors are all on the same page when it comes to stories that will be accepted (writers may get a feel for what they can write about by surveying existing stories in each publication). Lastly, provide publication writers with proper feedback.

If the language on the About pages of publications is clear and concise, then the rate of stories accepted will increase.
