I Could Just Google That

Why should I read your blog post?

Does anyone else feel at odds with the terminology that they should use when describing someone’s writing on this platform:

Is it a blog post?

Is it an article?

Is it an essay?

Is it a short story?

Is it a story?

I know that I’m not the only one thinking this (literal thinking)!

I often refer to written content on this platform as pieces to describe any piece of written content.

When I read a piece, especially on self improvement, I prefer that it’s not only informative but written in a conversational way. Also, I would like to know how the writer personally connects with what they are writing about.

I often come across written content that I could easily google for free. I enjoy reading written content that is original — In other words, that fuels me with inspiration, passion, and creativity.

Comments are extensions of the writer’s writing; therefore, take the time to share your thoughts with the writer.
