I don't feel like there's much thought into the point made about occasionally getting a writer hooked enough to keep adding to the platform, while paying for a membership and not getting much return on their contributions. I do believe that there is a social hierarchy, etc.

Nonetheless, I understand where you're coming from. I feel like the algorithm is constantly changing to promote some hidden agenda.
