Let’s Address The Elephant In The Room

First and foremost, I’m honored to have each and everyone of you here with me right now. Some of you may be new to me and my writing, while some of you may have been ‘following’ me and my writing for sometime now.

Going into growing an organic audience, I knew that some ‘followers’ would eventually unfollow me — I didn’t think this soon though.

In the time that they were ‘following’ me, I like to think that I’ve served my purpose in each one of their lives, even if it was for a fleeting moment. However, it does make one wonder, Why? the sudden unfollows.

These past two months, a handful of ‘followers’ have unfollowed me, but not all at once, like today — I have a theory in mind as to why this tends to happen:

I tend to get unfollowed around the time that I publish pieces on race and racism. I don’t believe that’s a coincidence. However, I know that’s not always the reason as well.

‘Followers’ are gifts to this platform! I encourage anyone that’s no longer in alignment with me and my writing to use their freewill.
