First and foremost, I must acknowledge how discouraging it has been to write on Medium for months, primarily due to the lack of transparency. This has not only affected my writing but also my writing pace.

In the past, I would consistently list publishing on Medium as a task, but it is no longer something I plan to do. Spoiler: this was not included on today’s to-do list, but since we are on the topic of to-do lists, I will discuss the importance of creating to-do lists, even when they seem pointless.

A few months ago, I downloaded a notes app that has a section for creating to-do lists, and I’ve been consistently using it for weeks now.

There is scientific evidence supporting the idea that writing down tasks and crossing them off can free up mental space.

I often find myself overwhelmed with so much on my mind that it hinders my productivity. While watching a video or reading, I suddenly remember tasks I need to do but have delayed. In hindsight, I should have written them down to tackle later.

Now, I’m back to creating to-do lists to free up mental space for activities I enjoy doing.

What works for me is using a notes app called My Notes. I click the To-do lists tab
