The Medium app hasn’t provided a seamless writing experience from the start, even with changes made.

It remains uncertain whether our Medium stories and comments on user experience issues are acknowledged. However, apart from linkable credits for Unsplash photos within the app—a feature previously exclusive to desktop—my experience has largely stayed the same.

As someone who regularly writes and publishes using my phone, I alternate between the app and desktop versions for two distinct experiences.

During my first year in the Medium Partner Program, I proposed a preview feature in a post. This feature was added to the app, but not for polishing my drafts before they go live. This feature shows how stories look to readers on public platforms, like Medium’s homepage or in subscribers’ inboxes. Therefore, it was not a useful feature.

While I can publish posts from the Medium app, the app does not give me the option to email subscribers, forcing me to use my phone’s desktop browser.

The Medium app should offer full functionality for a seamless user experience.

Below, I’ve listed two issues I’ve experienced from the Medium app, hoping for improvements.

  1. I’ve been experiencing issues with the Unsplash photo
