Medium Glitches in 2024
I’ve been part of the Medium Partner Program for two years, and my first-year experiences are detailed above.
Given that my momentum hasn’t slowed since last year, one might expect more progress in audience growth and earnings. Yet, I’ve faced several glitches over these two years that have adversely affected my audience growth and earnings.
Some issues could result from human error. For example, I noticed that some of my followers engaged with multiple posts of mine at various days throughout the week, yet a post did not receive any claps, even after receiving a positive comment. It’s possible they simply forgot, but it raises the question if there were cases where claps were awarded and then mysteriously disappeared.
I discovered that previously awarded claps to old comments had disappeared when I went back to prior stories due to new notifications. I made sure to award them back.
This year, I’ve noticed an increase in glitches.
