Medium Writers Engagement Is Being Affected by the Platform’s Glitches 😳
I informed my Instagram followers that there might be a clean sweep of Medium bot accounts. This suspicion started when I noticed that two of my pinned Medium-related posts had seen an unexpected decline in claps and comments, indicating a major drop in engagement. Even my third pinned post about my start into writing, which hadn’t had drastic engagement throughout the year, was affected.
A deeper look revealed that the decline in engagement was not limited to the three pinned posts alone but rather persisted throughout my other posts as well, suggesting a more serious problem than a clean sweep of bot accounts.
While my three pinned posts seem to have had engagement returned, several of my other posts that are nearer the top of my page do not.
