Medium Glitches in 2024 — Part 2
I’ve considered taking a break from writing for a few days due to the lack of engagement with my recent three posts, which is unusual for me. It occurred to me that perhaps my audience didn’t resonate with the content of these posts. My contributions aren’t limited to insights in the Medium Partner Program; many of my pieces are centered on personal and spiritual growth.

Around the time my piece Medium Glitches in 2024 became semi-viral, I noticed when sending emails to subscribers, not all would appear on my end, leading me to suspect they were not reaching subscribers’ inboxes, which could explain the low engagement. Additionally, there has been an intermittent glitch with disappearing claps since May, but it predates that.
Have I been shadow-banned?
It crossed my mind that I might be shadowbanned, considering the sudden shift from high to no engagement. This led me to explore whether it was indicative of the workings of the algorithm rather than just the habits of my followers.
