Therapy has not been as helpful as I would like, so I had to make the difficult decision months ago to end services.
My last therapist was not a good fit, and she took the news hard. Her comfort was prioritized over my feelings about her not providing a space for me to be heard and understood when it comes to instances of racism.
It is important to recognize that your therapist may not always be the right fit for you. If you have concerns about their approach, discuss these with them openly.
