Anticipatory grief is a term that might be unfamiliar to you unless you’ve experienced the prolonged uncertainty of a loved one’s critical condition. I’ve been grappling with my emotions since last August, trying to come to terms with the unfolding events. It’s a difficult position to be in, watching someone you care about cling to life with slim hopes of recovery.
