Summer fades away,

And

Fall takes its place.

At last,

I am home.

The air shifts from humid to crisp,

Now,

I have the time to calm my mind,

And

Dive into

A sea of books,

One by one.

There’s one I won’t be reading by myself,

It’s the one we’ll discuss in our

SisterHood,

A Book Club I began in late September.

It’s meant to be laid-back,

Like a lawn chair on a summer’s day.

This is how I picture fall,

Savoring sips of iced coffee

Between the pages I’ve just devoured.

The air is crisp with a hint of mist,

Creating a cozy ambiance.

The only reason I paused to jot this down

Is because

I hear the rustling sounds of

Reds and browns,

Carried by the wind,
