Starbucks skipped the Summer Game, but fall flavors are still worth exploring—here’s what I tried, what’s new to me, and what’s completely new this season.

Even without an official announcement from Starbucks about the Summer Game, my blog posts from previous years were still getting readers, showing that people were curious and looking for a little seasonal excitement. With no heads-up this year, Starbucks moved straight into their fall lineup as if no one would notice, leaving avid players like me to focus on the flavors we could still enjoy. They discontinued favorites like the Apple Macchiato, and the only new item I tried, Italian Egg and Sausage Bites, was tasty but had a burst of summer flavor rather than fall.

I started my Starbucks Pumpkin Spice tradition with the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino—made with Oatmilk. It tasted like a lightly spiced pumpkin pie: smooth, subtly sweet, and balanced on the spices, easy to enjoy without being too intense.
