My timeline was filled with posts about Tyler Perry’s recent movie “Straw,” which I quickly scrolled past.
I rushed to watch it to avoid any spoilers.
I initially believed that one of the posts had spoiled the ending for me, only to discover that there were actually two endings.
My intention is to create space for open dialogue about the movie because it humanizes a Black single mother who endures a series of hardships and eventually succumbs to overwhelming pressure.
