I often find myself not only thinking about what connects me with, but what separates me from other Medium writers because of recent stories that the algorithm has pushed out to me. As I’ve become more experimental with my writing on this platform, it has caused me to further explore the topic of Niche Writers.

First off, is this your first time discovering the term: Niche Writers? This is a term that I’ve coined for the sake of this story, but I’m sure that this term was coined long before this story.

I would describe Niche Writers as writers that write on an area of interest or expertise. I’ve been on Medium long enough to be able to identify Niche Writers based solely on their handles. However, it’s not always that obvious. Their niche may be mentioned, near the bottom of their story. It’s possible that there’s no mention of their niche and one has to gauge that by reading more than one of their stories. Anyway, I’m more drawn to writers that write on many interests or topics because I’m this type of writer. I don’t plan on writing on one interest or topic on this platform because I’m a multidimensional being that’s constantly evolving, especially with my writing!

You all can expect to read topics on Writing About Writing and other topics from me! I’ve noticed that Writing About Writing on this platform is sure to get ‘clicks,’ but that will never be the sole reason that I write on this platform — I will always be true to myself and my audience!

There’s something so magical about ‘following’ a writer on this platform that writes on many interests or topics because not only will readers get most of their reading needs met with one writer, but trust will be deepened.

Consider sticking around if this story not only intrigues YOU, but you’re looking to evolve as a writer or being in general!
